Depeche Mode's New Album

Back when the Earth was flat and I was young, I was enthralled by Depeche Mode. I thought often what the London music scene was like and how much I wanted to be there. Flash forward 20 years, and Martin Gore resides in my home town! I have seen him around twice, once purchasing canned corn at Vons supermarket in line right in front of me, and once at the Greek festival where he strolled leisurely with a gorgeous Amazonian Blond on his arm. Not wanting to be Starfucker, I was calm and cool, keeping my distance and letting him have his life without bombardment. Two days ago I got the new album, Sounds of the Universe, and was most sad by the time I finished scrolling through the songs. I will of course go back and listen more fully, but for now the wailing sounds of Dave's recovery bore me. Sorry Robert Joneses, Yawn. R-

OK, Update. I have been listening again, and I am in a different mood, more that seems to match better the album. It is growing on me now. Hint: Be chill when listening, it helps.
