So, this past week I was in the Boulder, CO area and we hit a restaurant called Sherpa's Adventures Restaurant and Bar, at 9th & Walnut. You know, Sherpa, as in the guy who carries your crap for you up the mountain. I wanted to try something I have never had and decided up on the "Thupla." Thupla is a Tibetan soup that tastes of Indian spices, but looks like Chinese noodles. As an added bonus I had Yak as my meat of choice. This was my first Yak experience and it was ok. It was chewy like boiled beef would be in a soup, but still had a unique quality too it. I think another preparation of Yak might be better, but the soup definitely rocked! If you are in the Boulder area give the restaurant a try, and definitely enjoy the ample outside seating. (If you like, there are more pictures posted, just click the soup and you will be teleported.
